Staircarpet kits and charts for your dollshouse

Staircarpet kits for one twelfth scale dollshouses - these contain everything you need to make your own miniature needlepoint staircarpet!
All the twelfth-scale staircarpet kits listed below include an easy to follow colour block chart, 18 count canvas, tapestry needle, all the necessary colours of Appletons crewel wool and full instructions, including how to do tent stitch (similar to half cross stitch). The dimensions given are for the design area ONLY, excluding the side hem. Hemming the long sides will add about an eighth of an inch (3mm) on each side to the total dimensions listed.

Chart packs - buy just the design, so you can adapt it however you choose!

Chart packs are ideal if you already have a stash of threads and canvas/gauze of your own to use up, or if you like a particular design, but wish to work the design in different colours, or on a different count of fabric, to that offered in a kit. The miniature staircarpet chart packs contain a large black-and-white symbol chart, to make it easier to alter the design's colour scheme and/or size to suit your own requirements - you can colour in the squares as you go, if you prefer to work that way. Please remember that there are NO MATERIALS (such as canvas, wools, etc.) in these packs. However, very comprehensive instructions are given about stitches used (with diagrams), the Appleton's crewel wool shade numbers used as in the full kit, and alternative colour numbers for Anchor, DMC, Madeira and Paterna.

We also supply 24 x 3 inch canvas pieces, for use with chart packs.

The pictures below show short sections of each staircarpet, to illustrate the pattern repeats. Each staircarpet kit contains enough materials to make a staircarpet 20ins. long (50 cm). This is enough for a 15-step flight. The width of each carpet is shown beside each picture.
