Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy, alter the quantity if necessary and put them into the shopping basket. If you change your mind, you can click 'VIEW BASKET' and take item out of your basket again. After you have finished your selection, click on "CHECKOUT". You will be asked for a few details, so we can satisfy the order, and then be taken to a secure payment page. You will not actually have ordered anything until you have clicked the 'Proceed' button on the final Protx Credit Card Payment page.

Payment is in pounds Sterling. Overseas customers: your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency automatically, as the card is processed.

You are given a choice of payment method, at the checkout:

Credit/debit card - we accept VISA, VISA Debit, Mastercard, Maestro, Solo - but not AmEx. Send card details safely online - your details are encrypted very strongly.

We cannot accept other cards, cash, non-UK currency, postal orders, stamps or International Reply Coupons. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship.

Shipping And Handling If you order by using this online catalogue, the postage and packing is free of charge - to anywhere in the world.
Delivery Schedule As we aim to supply from stock, delivery is usually ‘by return’; in the UK your parcel will be sent by Royal Mail or Parcelforce and should reach you within 14 days. Parcels sent overseas (by airmail) will take longer to arrive - but, in any case, please allow 28 days before querying non-delivery.

Back Orders If your item is not in stock and may be delayed more than a day or so, we will email you to let you know, with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. In any case, we will not take payment from your credit card until we are about to despatch your order to you.
Tax Charges The company is not VAT registered, so this means that we do not charge VAT.
Credit Card Security We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are sent, encrypted by the software when the order is placed, to a secure server at Protx. Only the order and name and address details are passed on to us. Sensitive card details are not held in clear text on any web site.
Guarantee You have the right to cancel your order at any time up to 7 working days from the day after receiving the goods. You may cancel, in writing, by email, fax or post at the addresses given under the 'Reaching Us' section, below. We guarantee to refund the full purchase price within 30 days of cancellation. Any such unwanted goods remain the property of Janet Granger Designs and must be returned to us at your own expense, unused and in perfect condition. If they are not returned, we will collect them, and deduct the direct cost from the refund.

Of course, if a kit is faulty or has any component missing, then we will replace it immediately on its return to us, and refund any postage cost you have incurred. Refunds will only be made to the original credit/debit card account, or by cheque payable to the signatory of the original cheque.

This guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer.

We will endeavour to respond to complaints received within five working days and at that time we will provide you with a likely timescale for resolving the dispute. You will be kept informed of progress throughout the process.

Claims for damage in transit must be made within 10 days of receipt. Refunds will be given, but returned items must be packaged so as not to incur damage during transit and be sent by recorded delivery. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
