Dollshouse Embroidery Kits
from Janet Granger

Arlene's House

Arlene Rayls, from California, came to The London Dollshouse Festival during her visit in May 2001. She sent us these photos when she got back home "to prove I actually did use two of your designs from your book, "Miniature Needlepoint Carpets"."

Christmas 2000, and Arlene's house has been given bedroom and livingroom furniture, including rugs, bedspread and sampler.
RUGS IN THE FIRST TWO FIRST FLOOR ROOMS:
Arlene adapted the "Bathmat" design from the book, using beige wool and omitting the lettering.

To make a longer runner in her landing, Arlene 'stretched' the "Alison" design, by repeating the central motif.
Very effective it looks, too.
