Suitable for those with a little stitching experience
The kit includes 22 count canvas, a colour block chart, detailed instructions, Anchor stranded cotton, a wooden hanging pole, backing fabric, ribbon to make the hanging tabs, and a suitable needle. Enough extra thread is included for you to make a decorative hanging cord, if you wish.
Style: William Morris (late Victorian)
William Morris originally designed this picture as a firescreen, but it makes a really good wallhanging for the smaller Victorian home. The tree is laden with oranges, whilst beneath it grows a profusion of bright flowers. The swirling acanthus leaf motif, so typical of Morris’s designs, fills the four corners.
When completed, the stitched area of the wallhanging is 3½ x 3½ inches (9 x 9 cm)
